Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as helping in Sunday School, to running power points during services. for more information about how and where you can serve, please contact our church office.

Mission Outreach

Richland Church of Christ is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. The eight missionaries we are supporting are located in six countries—Nicaragua, United States, Guatemala, Bolivia, Honduras, Scotland, and England. Each month, we receive a newsletter with updates and current Goals from each of our missionaries. We encourage all of our people to keep updated with these newsletters and minister in our own community.

Children & Toddlers

Fun and kid friendly classes are something we strive for… Many church members get involved in our Children’s ministry. Some teach class, some work in the nursery, some put on Kid’s Worship, and others put on activities.  These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. We project worship and sermon backgrounds during our Sunday services. All of our sermons are recorded and saved to CD’s. All of our weekly bulletins are uploaded and emailed out weekly. We also maintain an active Facebook and Instagram feed for additional church communication and encouragement.

Outreach

Outreach can be difficult to do, especially if it’s on your own. That’s why here at the Richland Church we do this together as a group effort. We believe serving others together and going through challenges together will unite us and build lasting bonds in a way that wouldn’t exist otherwise. There are many ways we do outreach here, for example serving at the mission, putting together blessing bags for the homeless, and helping with the local schools along with any other serving areas.

Teen Ministry

Teens cannot be overestimated. Teenagers are the future of our church. The teens meet Sundays and Wednesdays on a regular weekly basis during our church services, we like to keep it fresh for them by letting others teach classes on occasion. It’s very important to us that our teens learn how to love God and love people in a way that they care spread the Gospel better. Our teens also meet throughout the month for fun activities and bible studies so that they can grow closer together as a group.
